Gemma Poulter

Gemma is a member of the Software Engineering group at the Science and Technology Facilities Council. She did a PhD at the National Oceanography Centre, at the University of Southampton, completing her thesis "Using derivative information in the statistical analysis of computer models" in 2010. Gemma went on to work for a private software company but now at STFC contributes to the group's R&D activities which include agent-based modelling, software engineering, high performance computing and software parallelisation.

Gemma is involved in the agent-based modelling work package of the Stepping Up project, specifically with the aim of running the model on STFC's HPC facilities.
